Triggers and such | Poetry 101 Rehab

Set succulent sweet-smelling mouse bait
upon the trap’s trigger (the lunch plate).
Then we plant it, outside
where the mouse does abide…
SNAP! Plate to the snake cage, its sad fate.

In response to Andy Townend’s
Poetry 101 Rehab prompt: “Trigger“.
