Afternoon Winds

the afternoon wind spins
roof turbans and blows butterflies
off course—it spills
multicolored leaves across
the back yard and roadside

Enjoyed my time outside with the camera, this afternoon, while Al puts siding on my gazebo before the coldest weather appears. The space heater in my gazebo now has its own electrical circuit, so I will be able to turn it on high while I’m out there in the winter, and not blow a fuse, shutting down the entire kitchen.
